About this listen
A fresh start…
Determined to have a life of her own, Victoria Weiss flees the safe haven of New Berlin on the planet Mars by accepting an internship on the most remote space station in the solar system. Being the daughter of the Great German ambassador isn’t all glitter and glamour, and Tori needs a fresh start away from her overbearing parents.
But running away from your past isn’t easy when you’ve hidden away the darkest parts. Tori hasn’t trusted men ever since a sexual encounter that left her soul scarred, and when the station’s Chief of Security shows an interest in her, she feels torn between running away from him and allowing herself to open up to new possibilities.
A troubled past…
The last thing Alen Novak expects is to lose his head over an Elite girl. But when Tori Weiss walks into his life, he can’t help but feel she’s different from the Great German leaders who effectively destroyed his Croatian homeland during the Great Wars in Europe. Even though he is the station’s Security Chief, Alen doesn’t command the respect of all his colleagues because of his prison past - and he’s afraid Tori will dismiss him for it right out of the gate. After all, he’s been hurt by a woman he loved before.
Fanning the flames of passion…
There’s no way to avoid working together, though, and the two are irresistibly drawn to each other. Will Tori and Alen learn how to face their darkest fears, or will the past nip their passionate love in the bud?
A sweet, steamy romance for lovers of New Adult with a hint of Futuristic.

its sweet & erotic at the same time
i liked the first one in this series a lot too. book 2 is not about the same couple, but it's set in the same world and we know some characters from the previous book. narrator for this book is different from the first book, at the beginning i had to get used to her voice as she sounded a bit drony, but after a few chapters it got better. i hope part 3 in the series will come out soon too!

Erotica in the Stars
What didn’t you like about Kathryn Ricks’s performance?
Not fond of it, like a bad B movie actress.
Any additional comments?
I received this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review.
The story is kind of predictable: good girl meets bad boy. A little hard to get into because of the narrator. If you can get past the poor performance the story is worth it.

.
I really enjoyed this book. This is the second in the series and the male lead (hero) is a minor character from book 1. I like how the story connected but at the same time could be considered a stand alone book. (You didn't have to read book 1 to understand book 2.)
Ms. Ricks was wonderful in her narrating of the book giving each character their own voice. She made the story come alive. I would love to listen to her narrate another book. This story almost wants to make me want to go into outer space ... as long as their are heroes like these ones!

Narrator Turn Off
I swear this narrator was so unemotional not feeling the characters, that it was a huge turn off. Her tone never changed and it sounded as thigh snap he was whining through the entire book. She was so horrible that my 15 year old came in while I was listen and he asked why she sounded like that.
Hope she doesn't do anymore read for you all

Another exciting erotic adventure!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, if my friend likes erotica, I would - it's a great book!
What did you like best about this story?
The sex! I loved the story line & plot. I really loved the character Alan Novak! Who wouldn't fall for him? I loved how he convinced Tori's Mom to like him!
Have you listened to any of Kathryn Ricks’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, I don't believe I have.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, but due to it's length I didn't. It took me 2 days.
Any additional comments?
I applaud the author for her use of erotica in this series. I have read all 3 books and found them all to be entertaining & tasteful! I absolutely loved the use of moons & other planets in the stories along with all the characters. It involved a great imagination! Listening to the part of the room lit b Saturn, had me picturing Saturn out the window! That sure made for a pretty relaxing picture in my head!

I couldn't tell you about the author
There's not one thing I could tell you about this book or about the author of this book because the narration on it is so Horrible that I returned it and am now waiting for my credit return. It may be (given the narrator this author's publisher chose) better to buy the book and read it for yourself. DO NOT waste a credit if getting through an audio book is contingent on the narration.
