I love this book!

This is one of my favorite books in the series! I have been waiting for it to be released in Audio format and was not disapointed! Rhage is the type of guy that most women would love to be with. This story has action and romance. If you enjoy fiction with action and steamy romance this book is for you! JR Ward doesn't disapoint!

I love this book

Where does Lover Eternal, The Black Dagger Brotherhood, Book 2 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is the best thus far for me. I love the first book but I do not really care for the book #5. I love this because it shows the vunerable side of Rhage and how he tries his best to shield Mary. It shows her strengths as well as her ability to be docile to her man's need. I love the romantic scenes when he tries to hold back only to give in to his need desire and want.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Rhage is my favorite character because he is strong, bold, funny, romantic and loveable. But all in all he's a warrior willing to protect what's his.

Have you listened to any of Jim Frangione’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I really am growing to love Jim Frangione. At first I did not like him but now I am getting to love his style and his cadence/voice.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Rhage wanted Mary and pushed himself away b/c he didnt want to hurt her. And denied himself pleasure!!

Any additional comments?

I love this book I am hoping the series doesnt let me down.

A Good Read

What made the experience of listening to Lover Eternal, The Black Dagger Brotherhood, Book 2 the most enjoyable?

This second installment of the Black Dagger Brotherhood was richer and even more interesting then the first book. In fact I liked it better than the first. Rhage is cursed by the Scribe Virgin to turn into a dragon/godzilla like creature when he gets to worked up. It was intended to teach him to control himself. The beast made things really interesting.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Lover Eternal, The Black Dagger Brotherhood, Book 2?

The most memorable moment for me in the book was Mary running to Rhage and finally admitting she wasn't okay instead of trying to keep up the fascade that she was in control and handling everything on her own.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The narrator mispronounced quite a few words. The one that irritates me most is rifled. I do like his voice however because it is easy to listen to so much can be forgiven.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The most moving part of the book was when Rhage kissed and touched all the scars from the various procedures Mary had because of her previous bout of luekemia. She is one battlescarred and tough lady to have endured what she has.

Any additional comments?

This is one of my favorite books in the series. I have read all of them in paperback and now I'm going back and buying my favorites in audible so I can listen to them on my smart phone while I walk.

The narrator...

I'm not even finished with this book yet (maybe a 3rd into it) but had to write a review. The story itself is decent and is a twist from more traditional books in the vampire genre. I will probably also finish the rest of the series. But the narrator kills it for me... he mispronounces seemingly common things like "K-cup" and says it as 1 word "Kcup" and "2-Pac" (the artist) and says "2 pack" like a pack of wolves... And don't get me started on when he reads any dialog with even a trace of slang... He sounds like an announcer at a baseball game reading a novel.

BDB excellent series

If you are a fan of vampire stories, this series cannot be beat. I love vampire stories and have come to rank this series as one of my all time favorites. Rhage and Mary are a great couple. Rhage is one of my favorite beasties. This story made me laugh and cry. If you can, I would suggest that you read the series in order, but you can read this book out of order. The story can stand on its own merit. Try book #2. It was well worth a credit.
