About this listen

A younger Dom. A grieving sub. Two men whose kinks don't align (or so they think) connecting in sign language.

Marco and Greg would both rather be anywhere than a kink club on Valentine’s Day. Marco doesn’t have the patience to speech-read in a hearing crowd. And Greg is still mourning his Sir who passed away three years ago.

But when Greg steps in to explain something in sign language, Marco can’t stop thinking about the light he sees in those sad eyes. Strong, older, fluent in ASL, and sweetly submissive, Greg is exactly Marco’s type. Even if Greg isn’t ready for another relationship yet, Marco isn’t ready to let him go.

Greg thought that he would never want to date someone again. But as painful as it is to admit, he’s starting to feel like it might be time. Marco is like no one he’s never met. Small, twink-ish, over a decade younger, and a Daddy, he isn’t at all what Greg imagined in a Dom. Yet he’s undeniably attracted to his care and control, even after Marco reveals that he’s transgender. Slipping into the language of his childhood, Greg wonders if he might have a second chance at love.

This book contains hurt/comfort themes, lots of heat, and a HEA ending. This is the first book in the Love Language series celebrating Deaf characters and Deaf culture.

Breaks Your Heart and Puts it Back Together

The journey for these two is a rough one but worth it when they reach their happily ever after. Having a disability myself, I love seeing a disabled MC thrive. Narration is excellent. Highly recommend!

Sweet and kinky love story

Love Language is hot and sweet love story between two men who aren't initially looking for love. It's one of my favorites in the queer romance genre, and I was very excited to see it come out in audiobook.

A few things I loved about the book: the visual of Marco (whose primary language is ASL) taking control and letting Greg know he didn't have to talk by physically taking control of Greg's hands and holding them, how adorably insecure Greg is (especially when he's talking about Marco's body/gender), and how well the author portrays grief.

Some issues with the audiobook: conversations in ASL are read in a stilted way that contradicts how ASL flows in real life. The narrator doesn't do different voices for the characters, especially in ASL scenes, which makes it a bit hard to follow in places.

Beautiful, Amazing, & Emotional Story & Narration🎧

This is my first book written by Reese Morrison and they are a gifted author with an impressive writing style. They created a beautiful story of healing, learning to let go, to live and love again, a story that not only grabbed my attention and captivated it the entire book, but it tugged on my heartstrings too. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they were easy to care about too and I enjoyed learning more about them and it was great to watch their relationship grow as they get to know each other and their want’s and needs. Marco and Greg meet at a BDSM club on Valentine’s Day, both are part of the deaf community and Greg recognized Marco’s frustration trying to communicate with the bartender and jumped in to help. Marco is a Dom and Greg checks off two of the top things he likes in a man, being older and being a submissive. Greg’s Dom, Richard, passed away three years ago, and he is still mourning and struggling with his loss and as much as he tries to move on, he thinks it is a betrayal to him. He and Marco hit it off and have a wonderful evening together, but Greg leaves and then ghosts Marco, despite that Marco does not give up on him and when Greg is ready, he finally reaches out to Marco again and it is the start of an amazing relationship. I loved Marco’s patience with him and how caring and understanding he was. Another thing to love was all the layers of the story and its originality. The author does a great job showing some challenges the deaf face in a hearing community. Also loved that one lead character is trans and it was great to hear their perspective and feelings about the sides of their sexuality and who they are. This wonderfully plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions, BDSM scenes, and a loving romance. Reese Morrison, thank you for this amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧 📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Christopher Solon did a wonderful job bringing these characters and their story to life. He had a complete understanding of who these characters were, gave each their own voice, and was believable in the roles he played. You could hear how much heart he put into his work as he captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into his performance and had you feeling every single one. Christoper Solon is an entertaining storyteller and a versatile voice artist, his narration enhances this already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Thank you

I really appreciate your intro and the time you took to explain your vision and point of view in writing this book. I absolutely adore this couple, and the head space this story put me in. I am a big fan of truly living by the idea of love being love and not living up to anyone's idea of what that love should look like. This was simply beautiful!

Held my attention from beginning to end.

I’m not sure what I expected from this story but there is quite a bit of different issues being addressed here. At first, I was not too fond of the characters but as the story went on, I had to examine my way of thinking and though these two are so different and don’t seem to check the “normal” boxes for this type relationship, the story made me feel that they fit in their own way. They were each attracted to a lifestyle different from what the other wanted. They found that their attraction together as friends first and more later, gave each the compromise that worked for them. As each examined their relationship, they found being together gave them what they were looking for. I feel the author did a great job of making these characters real. How deafness and trans is described explained a lot to me I knew nothing about

Beautiful story

A unique story with interesting and realistic characters. Nice representation of gender and different ways to engage in kink.

One of my favorite “surprise!!” things is enjoying the audiobook even more than the print version.

Christopher Solon provided an absolutely wonderful narration of 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘨𝘦 and provided nuances to the story that I had previously missed.

Beautiful Story

I enjoyed this story. Beautiful romantic encounter in a bdsm club where two people found their perfect partner. I loved Marco, he was brave, strong and resilient, and I loved following character development he inspired in Greg by being so caring and supportive. Narrator did a great job giving voices to main characters and telling this story. His performance made this a perfect listening experience.

A favorite now in audio!

Yes we finally have a Reese Morrison book in audio and it was amazing. I always get so worried when my favorite books are translated to audio because what if I don't like the narrator but thankfully well I didn't love the narrator I also didn't dislike him and in just happy to see my favorite stories and audio. I will say I do think I enjoyed it more as reading it versus listening. I can't quite pinpoint what it is. It might just be a simple fact that if I'm reading it I can take a minute to really visualize the ASL whereas in the audio it's so fast that you don't really have time to sit there and imagine what that sign looks like. Either way, it's super good and you should read it.
