Writing was unbelievable I couldn't get enough. The performance only enhanced the book. Had to listen to the whole thing in one go I didn't want to stop.
I just hope the rest of series is turned to such wonderful performances.

This book had me from the first sentence to the last. The characters and intrigue, along with plot twists is so different from the typical fae romance novels. 5 stars!

the rest if the series isn't available. Other wise this book as if all. Great performance by both narrators. if you're into paranormal scifi then don't hesitate to dive in. Other than the massive cliffhanger of not having the rest of the series this is a no brainer.

Oh come on! All this build up for it to end like that?! Book 2 isn't even available! I absolutely loved this story. If you like fantasy romance than this is a story to listen to!!
Loved both narrators! They were amazing. So worth the credit I used!

I bought the next book in the series before finishing this audiobook. I got lucky, I didn't have to wait long before the next book came out. I finished this book, and the next book came out two days later. I was thrilled. The audiobook for the next book in the series is not out yet, which is a huge bummer because the narrators are FANTASTIC! for this series! Even so, I'm just glad that at least I get to find out what happens next, and I don't have to wait. I absolutely loved the male narrator (Shane's) sexy accent-- I just couldn't get enough of hearing him talk! The transitions were smooth, which is always a huge worry when the narrotors switch from male to female voices. There were no pauses or delays like with some older audiobook recordings (where you can tell the narrators are passing a mike or there is a delay while they turn on their audio record switch). With these transitions, it was like hearing a conversation between two different people in real time.

I usually like high action, high intimacy romance in my paranormal romance books, and this book delivered in my opinion. The action, mystery, brewing suspense, and world building was great. The chemistry and banter between the male and female lead was extremely entertaining. The romance is slow burn, and UNBELIEVABLY REALISTIC! It kept me wanting more as I frantically listened for what happened next between the two leads. In this book, there isn't a scene so HOT that you have to reach for a glass of water to get through it, but there is high flirting/ chemistry and kissing. So, if you like alot of HOT action in your romance books, then this book may not be for you. HOWEVER, as I said, I usually don't like when a book doesn't have HOT scenes, but I wasn't bothered by that this time because I was so thoroughly entertained by everything else this book had to offer.

I liked how all the details surrounding each character weren't revealed up front, and you got to know the characters' personality first before learning everything about them and where they fit into the plot. I thought it was cool how you were sort of thrust in the middle of things, facts were piecemeal, and then they all came together as you went along. Some people might describe the plot surrounding the characters as dizzying, but I enjoyed that aspect of this book. I liked having to put things in order myself, or figure out about why things happened a particular way in a previous chapter at a later point in the book. It was a refreshing change from the normal orderly type of romance book.

In addition to the interesting characters, plot, banter, and commentary; I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything in the romance department as I read the slow burn between the two leads. All I wanted was MOOORRREEEE!!!! I'M DEFINITELY LOOKING FORWARD TO DEVOURING THE NEXT BOOK IN THIS SERIES, and with the way this book ended, I really think I WILL BE reaching for my glass of water in the next one.... ;-).

May Sage, you are added to my favorite author's list!!!! You are incredibly talented. I am so glad I purchased this book.
I liked the dragon reverse harem book you wrote, but even though it was a great read too, I learned that harem books just aren't really my style. So, I stopped after the first book in that series. When I realized you also wrote non harem romance books, I came back and read this one, and I don't regret that decision in the least. Keep em comin' :-)

The book was fantastic ANYWAY, but their voices added the perfect balance of humor & gravitas. It made it that much better & sucked me in that much more! Ugh! When do we get the sequel!
