Publisher's summary
Starting new chapter in my life never felt so cold.
Nothing like picking up and moving across country on a whim.
Cait Monroe would love to find a nice small ski town and live happily ever after, but she's promised to help her mom get back on her feet. So when Mom decides to pack up Cait's half sister, and go on an eight month road trip out of nowhere, Cait tags along. For her sister's sake.
It's only then, when they settle into the new city and new way of life, that her past comes back to haunt her. Threats lurk around every corner, and Cait only wants to move on. She struggles figuring out how to build a new life for herself, and not knowing who to trust. So when four very sexy guys insert themselves into her life, she's wary. Why are they doing this? What could they want with her?
As the sense of danger grows ever closer, Cait becomes overwhelmed with the truth of her past, and fights for control.
Can she find refuge in this storm, and escape the peril the cold of night brings?
Escaping the Cold is book 1 of the Scandalous Slopes series, a dark reverse harem romance. This means the female main character will have three or more love interests and will not have to choose in the end. This book also has a trigger warning for: grooming, mentions of history of child sexual assault, PTSD and stalking, sexually explicit scenes, explicit language, plus haunted house situations including arachnids/insects, clowns, and dolls.

Story
The plane is jam-packed. Every seat is taken. So of course the flight is delayed! Flight attendant Allegra Patel likes her job—she’s generally happy with her life, even if she can’t figure out why she hooks up with a man she barely speaks to—but today is her twenty-eighth birthday. She can think of plenty of things she’d rather be doing than placating a bunch of grumpy passengers.

Story
Kidnappers grabbed Jenna in broad daylight, right in front of her children and their horrified classmates. Her family was issued an insane ransom demand: $25 million in cash and jewels, payable by the end of the school day, otherwise they’ll never see her again. As Jenna’s mother scrambles to gather the money, detectives Mo Butler and George Ortega follow the trail of the kidnappers, which will lead them through a sordid landscape of jealous lovers, broken dreamers, and twisted schemers. But every second counts, and there’s one thing Jenna Wade doesn’t have: very much time.

For the last 100,000 years, we Sapiens have accumulated enormous power. But despite all our discoveries, inventions, and conquests, we now find ourselves in an existential crisis. The world is on the verge of ecological collapse. Misinformation abounds. And we are rushing headlong into the age of AI—a new information network that threatens to annihilate us. For all that we have accomplished, why are we so self-destructive? Nexus looks through the long lens of human history to consider how the flow of information has shaped us, and our world.

Obsessed with this audio!
I cant wait for more!!!
Escaping the Cold is book #1 in the Scandalous Slopes series. Its a dark reverse harem. Make sure to check the trigger warning.
This audiobook is all around PERFECT!!! I can already tell that this is one that i am going to listen to a million times! These narrators brought every single emotion, and brought these characters to life so dang well. I could go on and on forever about this one!
I cant believe this is a debut novel!
Cait has just moved to a small, ski town and is helping her mom with her little sister. She loves their new home, loves her new job and meets 4 hot guys that she can't stop thinking about.
Corey, Cam, Bast, and Dom are all so freaking HOT!!! Some fall instantly for Cait, some fight it, but they cant deny that they fit perfectly. When Caits past comes back to ruin her present, everything could be ruined.
That cliffhanger!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhh!!!! I can't wait for the next book!!! I couldn't put this down. I love the characters, i love the world, I love the mystery and i love the spice!
Its a perfect start to the series!
