About this listen

Saved from the streets as a child, Elora spent her adolescent years in the care of seven vampires.

As time goes by and she enters adulthood, emotions evolve into something unexpected. Pure love turns into burning lust, friendships are challenged, humanity is put to the ultimate test, and loyalty is earned.

Filled with passion and desire, this coming-of-age novel follows the story of a selfless human with soiled innocence and the vampires who will do anything to keep her safe.

Elora marks the first published work from Beanie Harper about fantasy, lust, and forbidden love. With hints of humor, adventure, and swoon-worthy men, Elora is a novel for those who like plot with their smut.

Amazing

I remember reading this on Wattpad. I love the added details making me fall in love the characters all over again. One of my favorite books.

pedophilia-y and cringe

DNF. I couldn't take the cringe any more. Too much grooming, baby talk (not in a sexy way), predictability, poor writing, just ick.

Troublesome

This book was very troublesome for me. Elora is taken in by a group of Vampires as a 4 year old. However, when she’s 18 the relationship turns from a child/caregiver relationship to a romantic sexual relationship. This felt very predatory to me and not in a good way. She calls them Daddy which gives me the super ick. To top it off she is as naive as a small child which makes absolutely no sense for a teenage girl and makes the story gross.

Besides all that, the story is waaaaay too long. The first (almost) half of the book is about Elora's childhood. The second half is when the relationship turns "romantic". It is very spicy. 5/5 spice. If you are here for the spice and you can put all the other stuff out of your mind then it's definitely spicy. But otherwise I would not recommend this book.

The narration was not my favorite. The female narrator does annoying robotic voices for the vampires which was terrible. The male narrator was good but he's not in it much.
