About this listen

Audie Award, Erotica, 2016

One kinky doctor + one indecent proposal = one life-changing week in Paris.

Elaine Watkins, Public Relations Advisor, is surprised when she receives a summons from the very attractive and enigmatic Dr. Xavier Vincent. She worships the talented physician and company icon responsible for developing the cure that saved her sister's life and isn't immune to his charm. Even though puzzled by his request, she is excited and eager to get started on his latest project.

But Dr. Vincent has other ideas. Instead of discussing cures, drugs and marketing strategies, he asks Elaine to join him in Paris to indulge his unique sexual appetites.

Torn between gratitude for saving her sister, her attraction for the powerful man and compromising her preconceived notions of sexuality, she must decide if it's easier to feed his desires or walk away. Until she devises a plan of her own.

"Make no mistake, Elaine, I am a king. Kings command and conquer. They are brutal and uncompromising. You don't want a king. Face it, you came here expecting a saint." - Dr. Xavier Vincent

Incredible audio performance, compelling story

Fantastic performance. I've never listened to a book that was performed like this before - with the female narrator reading the female dialog and the male narrator reading the male dialog. It made for a much more dynamic performance.

The story was great too. I couldn't wait to uncover Xavier's secrets. And the big reveal at the end was shocking. I can't wait to continue this series!

Loved it.

What did you like best about this story?

The depth of the characters and the mystery.

Which character – as performed by Noah Michael Levine and Erin Deward – was your favorite?

Loved both characters.

Any additional comments?

The story starts off just like the ‘Story of O‘ which I really enjoyed but then takes us on a very interesting journey of 2 people falling in love. I thought the whole book was great and I loved how the depth of a characters was revealed along the way to a great conclusion.

I am giving this book 4.5 stars because I really enjoyed listening to it and I will definitely read the next book in the series. I am not yet sure who the next books will feature. All in all an enjoyable listen to a well written take on a classic.

OH.MY.GOD

This book was off the scales hot! I loved it~ The story was different and intriguing. The story was scorching. The narrating was mouth watering good! NO- that is not high enough praise. The narrators were UNBELIEVABLE. They conveyed the heat and passion like none I have heard before. They put so much feeling and heart into the readings- it felt so authentic.

I wish there were extra stars to give this.

The menage scenes in this were HOT AS HELL. But this book was not just sex. It had a great overarching story as well. I can't wait to start the next book in the series.

I will scream it from the rooftops- BUY THIS SERIES!

Bone melting

What did you like best about this story?
I love the characters how each of them had their own personalities but they all fit together

Which character – as performed by Noah Michael Levine and Erin Deward – was your favorite?
Loved Erin Deward near rating most of the story as Elaine point of view and Noah Michael Levine for Xavier Sebastian and Marco every time he talk to you listened and you just melted to his voice

Any additional comments?
This was my first audiobook and I am so glad it was. I did not want to stop listening how the story had so many twists and turns and then of course I don't know where I would be laughing because Ellen said something sassy or snarky and I couldn't help but laugh. And oh the love scenes I blushed a couple times but just listening they did such a good job you could feel the chemistry for each of the characters.
For me I definitely recommend

Great narration

I've read this book, and really enjoyed it. I've heard a lot about the narration and decided to I've it a try.

I wasn't disappointed. Noah Michael Levine does a fantastic job of changing characters and accents, as does Erin Deward.

As far as the story, it's hot, all consuming, but not only sex (which is important to me). I'd fully recommend this book.

Wow!

First off, I need to say that I read Curing Doctor Vincent before listening to the audio version...so, I knew what to expect and had built my own ideas of the chatacters in my head. Second, I was in the middle of listening to Grey as my very first audio book when deciding I couldn't wait to start on this version of the good Doctor. I wasn't overly excited about listening to audios from my experience with Grey...it was ok...but when Erin and Noah began their rendition of R. Mason's story, I was instantly impressed.

The Doctor and Elaine, among the other irresistable roles, were brought to life with the finesse of actors playing the scenes out in a movie. Fantastic voice inflections, throaty and sensual groans and moans, and vivid emotion portrayal made each word come to life.

Admittedly, the naughty scenes felt like I was listening in on someone's secret phone-sex sessions...and I loved every minute! Erin's mental commentary left me feeling as if I were sitting with an old friend who was venting about a relationship. Noah's sexy, deep voice sparked pictures of him speaking to me as the Doctor spoke to Elaine. And when I finished, it rendered me spent and hungry for more...as any great romance novel should.

None of this could have been achieved without the well-written words of R. Mason. Hurry up, Mason! I need some more of the good Doctor!

Holy Wow!

This is one of the best narrated books I have ever listened to. So HOT! Noah Michael Levine's deep timbre is what took this book over to the 5 star rating! Excellent!!!

The Doctor Is In

This story is deliciously hot erotica but it's so much more than just sex. I almost think we should call this erotic romance. The story line is definitely the driving force of this tale, though each sex scene truly advances the plot in addition to just being entertainment.

Throughout the book, the characters' back stories are slowly revealed and serve to deepen reader empathy. There is never a moment when I guessed what was coming next - the suspense and mystery are ever present and absolutely tantalizing. Secondary characters add critical elements to the story until finally the end brings us a satisfying conclusion but points to the next book as well.

I'll be listening to the next book on audio as well. The performance was absolutely perfect. The format of the dual narration with the back and forth style worked well. There was chemistry there, or at least the narrators held the ability to bring chemistry to the performance which only made it sexier.

BEST erotica I've ever read/ listened to... and I've read a lot!

Incredible and Unexpected

This was a unique story that captured my attention from the start. I loved everything about it, the story, the narration, the characters.....everything. So, my question is: Where is the rest of the trilogy? I Want More !!!

Amazing narration! Great drama and hotness

This is my first experience with this author. She was recommended to me through a group of audiobook lovers for they mentioned the high quality of the narration team and amazing execution and this did not disappoint at all. The are both very engaging and find a way to bring to life, not only the main characters with their realism and cadence, but the many secondary characters with accents and motivations of their own. The story is like a maze... you know where to start but not have a clue where it leads. To me the one lacking point was character connection. It felt too rushed. I like better when characters evolve into their feeling and their learning off of each other. This has a "insta-lust / insta-attraction" quality to it.
