I was on an innocent enough little weekend camping trip with my boyfriend Mark. Or, well, maybe not so innocent, because halfway through the first night the two of us are boning inside our tent, and I'm having my lights pounded out.

But, despite our physical intimacy, I feel a pretty damn strong distance from him, because I'm certain that he's cheating on me with some thin little wisp of a girl, a fact that's confirmed when I sneak onto his phone and read through his messages.

I run off into the woods, wanting to cry, but trying to contain myself, wondering what the hell I'm going to do.

And that's when I see him. Chris, a bearshifter, rising up above me, and looking like he's about to tear my body to shreds.

Little do I know, that the two of us are about to make sweet, sweet, agonizing love....

I was given this book in exchange for my honest review. It was a good story.

This was a short story. The story was ok but I felt it was too descriptive in some places and I found myself losing attention and having to go back to relisten to some parts.

The book is short but good, it left me wanting more of the story. I liked the way the action progressed in it and I might listen to it again at some point. This book was received in exchange for a review

Needed more of the story and a different narrator. This book had a okay sex scene but it needed more there is more to romance than a couple quick romps

A thesaurus lovers wet dream. The story is weighted down and slow. This is a 15 minute story at best.

No need to waste your money

For such a short story, the summary pretty much describes the storyline. It wasn't kidding when it said lots of sex, language and sex. There's not anything wrong with that part of the story, except wishing there was more.
I'm not sure if I've listened to an audiobook narrated by D Rampling before; I must say though, she really put herself out there and delivered a superb performance. To me it actually added more to the storyline.
The downside, or parts of it that I wasn't so sure about is: this is supposed to be classified under BBW. A lot of women have curves. I'd like to have it described in more detail. Not just, "she's got curves" or "her breasts hung down." There's nothing wrong with using more adjectives the luscious body of a beautiful woman that's heavy.
That's just my two cents. I do hope that Lisa finds herself in that part of the forest again.

If the story is going to be a hour or less. There is no need for all the commentary. All I really got from this book is... a lot of mindless sex! I wanted to like this book so badly.

Would you try another book from R.P. James and/or D Rampling?

Yes, I would listen to Ms. Rampling again. I thought that she did a good job with the material that she was given.

Have you listened to any of D Rampling’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to one other of Ms. Ramplings performances and I thought that she did a good job with that book as well.

Was BBW Paranormal Shape Shifter Romance: The Alpha Bear King's Craving worth the listening time?

As the book is only an hour long, I thought the story was adequate. To be honest, the shifter aspect of the book only happened in the last 15 minutes or so. I don't think the title of the book fit with the story as well as it should have.

Any additional comments?

This is the second of R.P. James' books that I have listened to. Both books have left me wanting a little something else. I can't exactly place my finger on it but something is missing in these books.
