Story
Eight years ago I fell into a secret summer fling with my best friend’s little sister before our lives went in different directions. Now, I’m the grumpy to Juliet’s sunshine on a popular dating podcast we host, and when a wealthy fan gives us a charming coastal cottage as the biggest thank you ever, we head to the town where I grew up to give it a makeover. And find the house has only one bed. Located under a mirrored ceiling.

Not a fan of virtual voice
As usual, Ms OG delivered another captivating story of family life and family love. I am a fan of her campaign of keeping the very real horror of human trafficking in the public eye as it is not done by news media and government agencies. Thanks, Ms Gaines, for the care you take in giving your fans dream romances that include real issues of abuse.

Virtual voice ... blah
I read the ebook, loved it. And was very excited that the audio version was now available. I was skeptical about the virtual voice for narration, until I listened to it. Then I was certain that it was a bad choice. I found it flat, lacking in tone and tempo that would keep the listener engaged. I am a fan of Ms. Gaines' stories. But this version of this story left me disappointed. I gave the performance 3 stars because I wasn't sure how to create a half star. My feeling is that it should be 2.5. And that is based on the clear speech pattern only. I don't know what the motivation for virtual voice was. More to the point what was the reason for choosing this virtual voice. If this is evidence of what virtual voice is, the process should be reconsidered. I'm relieved that this title was included with the subscription, as I would have been very annoyed if I had purchased this. I hold out hope for better narrator choices for future Olivia Gaines stories. Again disappointed 😞

Enjoyed the story!
Computer generated voice I dislike. No emotions in the voice to tell the story. Would been nice to have male female storytellers .

Love the story miss the human element!
The narration with virtual voice could not take away the love for the story that I read a while ago and to be honest virtual voice was not half bad. What I missed was the human inflection in certain parts of the story. Overall, I love the story can tolerate the virtual voice, I would rather have the human narration though.

Very good read
This author is excellent. The stories are funny and fun to read. It should have been fun to listen too as well. That is the reason I bought the audible version. But Virtual voice is unacceptable no inflection, no emotion just flat automatic reading not narrating or storytelling. I don't recommend the virtual voice.

A Real Love Story
This story was better than the first AI story I tried to listen to. The fact that I finished it is testimony that it was so much better. Also, AI doesn’t know how to really speak English so consequently you get hung up on what the AI is actually saying. This AI did have some pronunciation problems but not enough to cause problems.. The reading went smoothly. Computers do not live by emotions and I was not surprised that the love scenes were emotionless. They weren’t even provocative. They were clinical. Too bad.

I love this story
This is one of my favorite books by Olivia Gaines. I am happy to see it available in Audible, but I don’t love the virtual voice. It has all the pitfalls of computer generated text-to-speech apps. It mis-pronounces the main character’s nickname the entire book. It has a few weird pauses in places there shouldn’t be. Overall the virtual voice was okay, but needs some improvements to make it enjoyable.
