New Audible Series, “Marvel’s Wastelanders,” Releasing in Five Languages
Fans of the Marvel Universe, rejoice! Marvel’s Wastelanders is coming to Audible internationally in French, German, Hindi, Italian and Japanese. The first of six seasons on Audible will be titled Star-Lord, a 10-episode scripted audio drama releasing in all five languages on June 28, 2023. Each local-language edition will be a richly designed, fully immersive audio entertainment experience with its own cast of A-list talent in the roles of iconic super heroes Star-Lord, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and more. The six-season audio epic originally launched as an English-language series in June 2021; this is the premiere of the exclusive international language editions of the story.
Marvel’s Wastelanders is set in a shadowy alternate future of the Marvel Universe in which the villains have finally won, and heroes are nothing but a bad memory. Peter Quill and Rocket are a little paunchier, a little slower, and a lot saltier than they were during the glory days of Guardians of the Galaxy. They quickly discover the Earth isn't what it used to be, either, when they crash land 30 years after Doctor Doom has taken over a barren, desolate wasteland, and all the world's super villains have seized control, including outlaw Ghost Rider and the bloodthirsty Kraven the Hunter.
This is the first collaboration between Audible and Marvel Entertainment and underscores our commitment to providing global customers with envelope-pushing audio experiences.
