Audible Launches New Wear OS App, Enhancing On-the-Go Listening Experience

The Audible app is now available on Wear OS, Google's smartwatch operating system. This development allows listeners to seamlessly download their favorite titles from their Audible libraries, enabling offline listening, or to stream titles directly from their Wear OS smartwatch for immediate playback—all without the need for syncing to a smartphone.

By expanding to Wear OS, Audible’s tech teams are providing an even more personalized, accessible listening experience for our customers. Wear OS users can now tap into Audible’s extensive collection of audiobooks while on the move—whether working out, running errands, or walking the dog.

The debut of the Wear OS Audible app coincided with Google's annual Made by Google event on October 4 where Audible was featured alongside other new applications for Wear OS. Users can easily download the Audible app directly from the Google Play Store on their Wear OS device. Supported Wear OS watches for this app include the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, 5, and 6, as well as the Google Pixel Watch 1 and 2, ensuring a wide audience can now immerse themselves in the enriching Audible experience wherever they go.
